Miyako Palmer a.k.a. Mia (pronounced Mee-ah) was born in Fukuoka, Japan.
In 1996, Mia learned face painting from a Japanese artist in Tokyo and has become a unique face and body painter of both Western and Japanese art.
She moved to Canada in 2001 and started working as a full time face and body painter in 2004.

Mia lives in Ghost Lake, Alberta, works and travels across Canada. She also works internationally, in the USA, England, Ireland, South Korea and Japan.
Mia has completed a creative face painting course with the internationally renowned face and body painter Olivier Zegers. She has been attending Face Painting International Conventions and some workshops to improve her skills and creativity.
